Sophie has just completed an MSc in Health Psychology at the University of Nottingham, whilst working as Clinical Product Executive for a digital health app company. She has a range of experience working in the healthcare industry across the public, private and third sectors. Sophie worked for nearly four years at the Stroke Association as Information, Advice & Support Co-ordinator for North Derbyshire. During this time, Sophie initiated and led on several successful projects, including the development of a new stroke support group for stroke survivors and carers; a series of mindfulness sessions; and over 20 ‘Know Your Blood Pressure’ events. Sophie has recently started working in a new and exciting role as Local Lead for System Optimisation, Behaviour Change & Quality Improvement for a National Innovation Programme in the NHS. Within the HPPHN, Sophie’s role as Publicity & Liaison Officer – Universities is to promote the HPPHN to academics and students working in the fields of health psychology and public health at universities across the country. She is looking forward to meeting people from a range of disciplines and hopes to expand the network across the UK.
