Alison Trout
Alison is a Chartered Health Psychologist and registered with the HCPC and has a background in Applied Psychology with over 25 years’ experience of working within both clinical and research psychology settings. She has worked clinically within the specialty areas of Pain Management; Cardiac Rehabilitation; Alcohol Reduction; Smoking Cessation and Diabetes Management. She has experience of working within Academic, Public Sector (NHS and LA), and Third Sector organisations.
In her recent career she has worked as a Stop Smoking Service Manager, as Commissioner and Strategic Lead for Lifestyle Services, Tobacco Control, Workplace Wellbeing and Obesity. Until recently, she worked as Strategic Lead for Behavioural Science within a Local Authority.
Alison was part of the writing and review group for the new National Strategy Improving Peoples health: Applying behavioural and social sciences to improve population Health & Wellbeing in England. She now co-ordinates the Midlands and East Regional Behavioural Science Hub.
